About Us

Nerja-Capistrano.com was originally set up by Dr Henry Southworth, founder and chairman of BROAD COURT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT LTD, a long-established Birmingham-based residential letting agent, in order to market the Nerja villas that form part of his and his family’s personal investment portfolio.

So successful was the venture that there were numerous requests from other villa owners to include theirs as well. This led to the setting up of our companion SpainAway.com website, and indeed the SpainAway business itself, which has become one of Nerja's leading villa rental companies.

The success of SpainAway itself then led to the formation of THE AWAY COMPANY LTD, a boutique travel company providing tourism information and travel management services generally, and whose principal other activity, besides that of SpainAway itself, is AfricaAway.com, reflecting the fact that while Henry’s love is Spain, his passion is Africa, and here he is dedicated to developing tourism in this hugely exciting area of the world.

Further expansion within Spain itself has led to the development of a marvellous selection of villas available for rent in the beautiful countryside around Granada, as described on our sister website, RuralGranadaVillas.com, and both walking and golf holidays form a particular feature of what is on offer.

SpainAway provides a full management and administration service to Nerja-Capistrano, handling booking enquiries, making reservations, sending out keys and so on.
